海峡影视季始于2009年5月，系海峡论坛重要组成部分。由国家新闻出版广电总局和福建省人民政府联合主办，台湾有关机构参与主办，以“弘扬中华优秀文化，促进两岸影视繁荣”为主题，旨在汇聚两岸影视资源，积极打造两岸影视精品宣传展示平台和影视产业合作洽谈平台，是海峡两岸影视界交流合作的重要活动。。The story revolves around Gabriel and Idriss whose lives have taken very different directions since an argument.
