故事是在曹院长倾其所有创建的“美好时光”养老院展开的，退休会计师贾老头性格倔犟，与儿媳妇闹别扭无家可归；退休京剧名角施老头与到海外的妻子离婚后守着大空房子孤寂难耐；身患绝症的刘董事长放下生意乔装追踪自己的私生女(在养老院搞卫生的梅阿姨)了却心愿；爱算计的“一劈二”小气庄老头爱飙车，与退休护士吴老太有情有意，却遭到双方儿女的反对，有家归不得；李处长一直受到老下级的误解，成贾老头的冤家(儿子李主播玩弄小婉的情感引众怒)。老处女韩美丽尽管不乏施老头等追求者，但一生痴痴等待自己意中人……他们尽管在自己的生活境遇中各有不同的烦恼与矛盾，但不约而同地都选择了到养老院寻找自己理想的生活。 　　在他们身上发生了一连串啼笑皆非的幽默故事之后，施老头与前与妻破镜重圆；庄老头虽患上时好时坏的痴呆症，但终于与吴老太征服了儿女，再次领了结婚证；李处长与冤家贾老头冰释前嫌和好如初；韩美丽终于即将起程飞到意中人身边；大家喜爱的护士小婉失身后回归，接受了小唐医生的爱；梅阿姨认了父亲刘董事长，使养老院得到新生，演变成拥有500个床位的“美好时光”敬老院。。要解释何为“小男人”？罗景辉（罗嘉良饰）便是一个活生生的好例子。景辉为人没有什么，只是性格却非常懦弱，工作上事事唯命是从，在家处处受岳母箝制。 一天，景辉好运突来，岳丈岳母要移民，这次以为可以重夺一家之主的地位！景辉还未“掌权”，却发现患上癌症，顿时晴天霹雳，上天这个玩笑开得也真大！此时景辉要到曼谷公干，因觉命不久矣且机会难逢，他终于战胜了怯懦之心，与温婉柔（苏玉华饰）发生了一夜情。回港后，景辉发觉验身报告出错，想到自己对贤妻的不忠，非常内疚，遂决定以后会循规蹈矩。 本来一切安好，怎料婉柔竟突然出现且苦苦痴缠。一波未平一波又起，妻子程晓男（苑琼丹饰）发现丈夫有外遇，岳母亦突然回港。今次真是恨错难返，莫非真是一失足成千古恨？。JERUSALEM takes audiences on an inspiring and eye-opening tour of one of the worlds oldest and most enigmatic cities.
